As of July 2026, work on the Observatory is led by a team at the University of Edinburgh’s Division of Global Agriculture and Food Systems collaborating closely with colleagues at: Agency for Inclusive Innovations and Development, CIFA Ethiopia, Centre for Humanitarian Change, Drylands Learning and Capacity Building Initiative, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, IGAD Centre For Pastoral Areas and Livestock Developmen, IGAD Climate Prediction & Applications Centre, International Livestock Research Institute, Mercy Corps, Rift Valley Institute, Save the Children, and Welthungerhilfe.
